Long Story...Not So Short.
Yoga has truly transformed Wendy's life. She discovered her love of yoga over a decade ago and is completely drawn to the peace, the stillness, the calm, the healing that is yoga. Wendy lives yoga philosophy every moment, with every breath. She is certified to teach Hatha, Vinyasa, Aerial and Meditation. Wendy is currently studying the practice of Bhakti Yoga and she will often incorporate chanting mantra and colorful, meaningful stories from the Mahabharata and the Bhagavatam into each class. She has over 700 hours in Yoga Certification Trainings. Most recently, Wendy has earned her 300 RYT International Yoga Training in Rishikesh, India. In Wendy's younger years, she was a teacher, gymnast and weight lifter. Wendy believes in the power of connection. She sees everyone, every being, everything, every situation from a place of pure love. Each class she teaches is taught with love, empathy and compassion.
Wendy believes in conscious healing. Wendy suffers from Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. She was struggling to find relief from her connective tissue disorder in the "modern" world of medicine, Wendy found great comfort and relief with yoga, chiropractic care and from working with energy healers. Wendy's health greatly improved. She delved into the world of holistic healing because she wanted to share the benefits with others. She has been a helper and a healer her entire life. She has been told that she is a great comforter. Energy healers have encouraged her for years to develop her gifts of healing and empathy. They have supported and guided her on her learning journey. Wendy is an Accredited Reiki Master/Teacher, Intuitive Energy Practitioner, Crystal Healing Practitioner, Advanced Guided Meditation Practitioner and a Master Mindfulness Practitioner.
Wendy has served as a Youth Leadership Director, Director of Girls Leadership, Director of Gymnastics and Director of Sports and Recreation for non-profit organizations in Southeastern WI. She has a passion for working with middle and high school students. She has developed, coordinated and implemented leadership programs, training workshops and activities for middle and high school students. She has a passion for helping teens realize their true potential.
Wendy is also a professional photographer.
Wendy has 2 grown daughters. She is an animal advocate and rescuer and is currently caring for 4 special needs rescue dogs and 1 rescue cat. She loves being with animals. Their energy is so pure. Animals are natural healers and Wendy gravitates to them. Wendy is an avid reader and enjoys learning and discovering new things. She loves to travel and experiencing new cultures. Wendy is definitely an old soul. She is a huge believer in community. She knows that we are all connected, that we are all one consciousness. Wendy believes that every action should be leveraged with LOVE...if not, then why do it?
